The woman told the detectives that she had met the man on a website which advertises sexual services. In the afternoon, at around 3 PM of April 11, the man went to her house, she asked for the money in advance, but after he refused to pay, she told him to go. The man did not leave the woman’s home; instead he started choking her, raped her, then fled the scene.
The police officers of the 7th district of Budapest started looking for the perpetrator immediately. They checked out the information the woman could provide about the man as well as footages from nearby security cameras. This led them to identify the 22-year-old E. I. Joseph as the culprit. They arrested him in the 6th district the same day, at 6:40 PM.
The police questioned the Nigerian student, who has a valid visa, with the well-founded suspicion of sexual violence. He denies committing the crime. He is now being held in custody.

Personally – I do have problems with sexual services being BROADLY advertised and marketed through inter-net and other openly unsecured 21st forms of human communication.
Call me prudish – you would be wrong, but the control and policing or Governmental control, to rein it in, eliminating categories / areas that this article refers, of this global addiction that is inter-net – mobile phones Facebook etc. – though I would like to see ACTION to clean it up, unfortunately I don’t see this occurring.
Maybe it could be considered by Governments to establish a contact facility that provided – Confidentiality – to society if they deemed sites operating that where of content that “stepped” over the line in the material they had there name on a site promoting or selling.
It has been universally abused and this is my concern, and it will continue to expand and be a contentious highly debatable subject, that someone somewhere and somehow – may clean not totally remove BUT tidy it up.
He will lerne in jail!
This is terrible. I hope that the Author will write a follow-up informing us if the suspect was found guilty or innocent of the charges.
I don’t think that a student with a valid visa and aware of the implications of sexual assault would risk his education with this. This is my opinion. I am a woman and I know how some women can be when they don’t get what they want and more. If he is guilty then damn him! If he is innocent and she lied against him to punish him then I hope she suffers for it too.
I hate to take sides until the truth is glaring. It’s her word against his. Look for DNA and do the needful before destroying a young man’s life.
The statistics seem to show that the reported rape rate in Hungary is between 2.3 and 3.9 cases per 100,000 Source knoema.com). Obviously there is a substantial number of unreported rape cases. Of those that are reported, the majority of the perpetrators are probably Hungarian men, so why is the media flagging up the nationality of this (as yet unconvicted) suspect? If it was a Hungarian man raping a sex worker, would this receive the same media attention with regard to his nationality? I think not.
